Requirements for operating environment of lithium iron phosphate battery pack: According to the environmental requirements of the battery, the room temperature should not exceed 55 ℃. It is recommended to maintain the ambient temperature between 0 ℃ and 55 ℃. Avoid direct sunlight on the battery, and sun windows should be shaded. Ensure sufficient maintenance space is reserved between lithium battery packs.


(2) Precautions for using lithium iron phosphate batteries

Different specifications and models of lithium iron phosphate battery packs are prohibited from being used in the same DC power supply system. Batteries with different levels of old and new should not be mixed in the same DC power supply system. If equipped with a centralized monitoring system for power and environment, the total voltage, current, individual module voltage, temperature, and capacity of the battery pack should be monitored in real-time through the centralized monitoring system for dynamic environment and BMS. At the same time, the battery monitoring device is used to understand the charging and discharging curves and performance of the battery, and regular actual measurements are carried out to detect and promptly handle faults.


(3) Frequent inspection items for lithium iron phosphate batteries

Regularly check whether the poles and connecting bars of the lithium iron phosphate battery pack are loose. Is there any damage, deformation, or corrosion. Is there any looseness at the connection, is there any damage, leakage, or deformation to the battery housing, and is there any abnormal temperature rise at the battery and connection. Based on the technical parameters provided by the manufacturer and on-site environmental conditions, check whether the voltage of the battery pack and individual modules meets the requirements, and check whether the charging current of the battery pack during intermittent float charging is within the required range. Check if the charging current limit setting of the lithium battery pack is correct. Check if the low voltage alarm and high voltage alarm settings of the battery pack are correct.


(4) Voltage requirements for balanced and float charging operation of lithium iron phosphate batteries

The intermittent charging voltage of lithium iron phosphate battery pack is generally set for individual batteries: 3.60-3.76V, with a high-voltage DC output voltage of 278V. Measure the voltage of the battery pack and compare the terminal voltage of the individual battery with the battery monitoring display every month, and promptly address any issues found.

1. The temperature should not be too high

If a 12V lithium iron phosphate battery pack is used in an environment above the specified operating temperature of 35°C, the battery capacity will continuously decrease, and the power supply time of the battery will not be as long as usual. If the device needs to be charged at such a temperature, the damage to the battery will be greater. Even storing batteries in hot environments will inevitably cause corresponding damage to their quality. So, keeping it at an appropriate operating temperature is a good way to extend the lifespan of lithium batteries.


2. It's not good if it's too low

If a 12V lithium iron phosphate battery pack is used in low temperature environments, such as below 4°C, it will also be found that the usage time of UPS batteries is reduced. Some original lithium batteries on mobile phones may not even be able to charge in low temperature environments. But don't worry too much, this is just a temporary situation. Unlike when used in high-temperature environments, once the temperature rises, the molecules in the battery are heated and immediately return to their previous level of charge.


3. Life lies in movement

To maximize the efficiency of lithium iron phosphate battery packs, it is necessary to frequently use it to keep the electrons in the lithium battery in a flowing state. If you don't use lithium batteries frequently, please remember to complete one charging cycle and perform a battery calibration once a month, that is, deep discharge and deep charging once.


4. Do not mix the 12V lithium iron phosphate battery pack with metal objects to avoid metal objects touching the positive and negative poles of the battery, causing short circuits, damaging the battery, and even causing danger.


5. Lithium iron phosphate battery packs should be kept in a clean, dry, and ventilated environment, avoiding contact with corrosive substances, and staying away from sources of fire and heat.
